Job Description:Job Title: Internal Audit Digital Solutions LeadLocation : New York, NY (3 days/Week Hybrid)Type: Contract***Evolve Internal Audit Operation Through Data, Automation & AIJob Description: General OverviewOur client is seeking a strategic and technically strong Digital Solutions Lead to partner with the Head of Innovation and Professional Practices (IPP) in building the next iteration of the Corporate Audit Department’s (CAD) digital solutions portfolio and ecosystem—modernizing and scaling data analytics, AI-enabled capabilities, and audit technologies across the function.This is a high-impact role responsible for building a best-in-class digital audit ecosystem, integrating advanced analytics, automation, AI, and audit technology into every stage of the audit lifecycle. You will not be maintaining tools. You will be architecting the future of the Corporate Audit Department’s (CAD) digital capabilities.Engagement DetailsThis engagement is structured as a staff augmentation arrangement to support a defined period of accelerated capability building within our CAD Innovation and Professional Practices function (IPP). The anticipated duration is 12 months, reflecting the build phase of our strategic roadmap. The engagement may be adjusted based on evolving program needs and organizational priorities.The Digital Solutions Lead will be embedded within the IPP team and will work in close partnership with the Head of IPP, the PMO & Change Management Lead, the existing Audit Management System and Data Analytics team members, external partners, and project-based consultants. This role carries significant influence over the direction of CAD’s digital strategy and offers the opportunity to shape foundational capabilities with lasting organizational impact.The OpportunityThe Digital Solutions Lead will partner with the head of Audit Innovation and Professional Practices (IPP) to shape and deploy the digital solutions strategy.What You Will DoArchitect the Digital Solutions Ecosystem & InfrastructureDesign and implement the digital solutions operating model, encompassing audit technology platforms, advanced data analytics, AI-enabled capabilities, and continuous auditing and control monitoringEstablish governance, intake, prioritization, and performance metricsDrive seamless integration across platforms, data sources, and workflows that support audit execution and risk intelligence, including AuditBoard (recently rebranded to Optro), and DatabricksOperationalize a tiered delivery model that balances self-service and centralized expertise while making sure analytics are reproducible, documented, and operationalizedEnsure all digital solutions align with IIA Standards and QAIP requirementsDrive Advanced Analytics, Automation & AIIdentify and deploy high-value advanced analytics and AI use cases (e.g., anomaly detection, automated control testing and monitoring, risk intelligence)Build continuous auditing and control monitoring capabilities and risk sensing dashboardsDesign reusable, governed “gold datasets” and automate data ingestion, validation, and reporting workflowsImplement analytics and AI-powered solutions quality controls, versioning, and documentation standardsLead Change & Capability DevelopmentServe as a strategic thought partner to IPP and CAD leadership, translating complex technology concepts into actionable plans for both technical and non-technical audiencesDrive adoption of digital solutions across audit teams in partnership with the head of IPP and the PMO and Change Management Lead (e.g., develop training, playbooks, and enablement programs)What Makes You a Strong CandidateYou combine audit domain expertise with technical fluency and transformation experience.Experience10+ years of progressive experience in building or scaling an internal audit analytics and / or digital solutions function with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior advisory capacity.Demonstrated experience designing and implementing digitization strategies for internal audit, risk management, or compliance functions within financial services or similar industries.Deep familiarity with enterprise audit management platforms (e.g., AuditBoard – recently rebranded to Optro) and modern analytics/data platforms (e.g., Databricks).Experience managing audit technologies as an integrated product ecosystem and deploying automation or AI use cases in regulated environmentsProven ability to operate as a strategic thought partner to senior leaders—comfortable navigating ambiguity, influencing without authority, and driving execution in matrixed environments.Skills & CapabilitiesStrong understanding of audit methodology and IIA StandardsAbility to translate risk coverage requirements into technical assurance solutionsData / AI governance and automation mindsetExecutive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholdersSystems thinker who designs scalable, sustainable solutionsEducation & Certifications (Preferred)Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fieldCIA, CISA, CRISC, CPA, or relevant data analytics certifications preferred
