PART-TIME HOSPITALITY TEACHER | CERTIFIED
Angola High School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable part-time (⅓ contract) Hospitality Teacher to join our Career and Technical Education team. The successful candidate will teach Principles of Hospitality and Nutrition courses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach Hospitality courses aligned with the Indiana Department of Education CTE standards.
Integrate hands-on, project-based learning, including labs
Build partnerships with local hospitality and community organizations.
Collaborate with other staff to support career pathways and interdisciplinary learning.
Maintain a positive classroom culture focused on student engagement, safety, and career readiness.
Actively participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). You will collaborate with colleagues to analyze student data, share best practices, and develop interventions to continuously improve student outcomes.
Classroom Environment: Foster a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment that encourages student engagement and ownership of learning.
Extracurricular Activities: Participate in available Extracurricular Activities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Indiana Teaching License in FACS or workplace specialist (or ability to obtain).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Commitment to student-centered learning and agricultural career pathways.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to expand hospitality programming and student opportunities.
Completion of Safe Hiring Solutions' expanded background check, including the Department of Child Services index.
COMPENSATION
Rate of Pay: To be determined based on experience according to the Master Contract
Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Benefit-eligible position
Indiana Teacher Retirement Fund Contribution-eligible position (Pension)
Start Date: To be determined based upon School Board and Superintendent approval.
