QUALIFICATIONS:·      Professional Educator License (PEL) with Early Childhood Endorsement·      English as a Second Language and/or Bilingual Endorsement (or coursework towards endorsement)·      Early Childhood Special Education Approval·      Interest and/or experience working with at-risk and students with special needs; experience with diverse populations a priority·      Strong commitment to professional excellence·      Bilingual Spanish preferred REPORT TO: ECDEC Project Director at The Center: Resources for Teaching and LearningJOB DESCRIPTION:·      Demonstrate understanding of child development.·      Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning opportunities for 3-5 year old students.·      Conduct large group, small group and individual learning experiences.·      Differentiate instruction based on student needs and learning goals.·      Prepare and maintain a high quality, safe, linguistically/culturally sensitive and engaging learning environment. All classroom environments will be monitored using ECERS-3.·      Incorporate technology into instructional and assessment practices.·      Utilize formal and informal assessment systems to collect student data, monitor progress and inform instructional decisions.·      Engage in reflective practices to develop plans for student goals and improving classroom practices.·      Participate in development and implementation of IEP goals when necessary.·      Develop partnerships with families through daily communication, conferences and parent-child activities.·      When appropriate, partner with bilingual adults to support interactions with students to reinforce learning across all languages enrolled in classroom and communicate with families.PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: ·      Follow ECDEC and school district policies and procedures.·      Complete paperwork and submit data when requested by administrators, as well as all personnel paperwork as required by The Center, including but not limited to time cards and leave forms.·      Collaborate and interact positively and effectively with paraprofessionals, teachers, administrators, other personnel and parents.·      Actively participate in Professional Learning Communities, school and program meetings and trainings.·      Participate in on-going professional development.·      Continuously engage in best practices and uphold standards of a high quality early childhood program.·      Demonstrate professionalism.BENEFITS:·      The Center: Resources for Teaching and Learning offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health, dental, life, and disability insurance, a generous pension program through TIAA CREF, as well as paid sick days and holidays (this is not a TRS-eligible position). Salaries are commensurate with the School District 15 salary schedule. The Center: Resources for Teaching and Learning is the non-for-profit hiring agent. ECDEC follows the school district calendar of the placement locations in the northwest suburbs.
