Associate Administrator

Moorings Park is looking for an Associate Administrator in our skilled nursing facility. The Associate Nursing Home Administrator supports the Nursing Home Administrator in the overall management of the nursing home. This role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and enhancing the quality of care for residents. The Associate Administrator will work closely with staff, residents, and families to maintain a high standard of care and operational excellence.Contributions Operational Management: Assist in the daily operations of the nursing home, including resident satisfaction, budgeting, and facility management. Oversee and manage departments as assigned, ensuring smooth and efficient operation. Monitor and report on the facility’s performance, including financials, compliance, and resident satisfaction. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure the facility meets all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including those set by CMS. Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures to enhance care quality and regulatory compliance. Participate in internal audits and address any deficiencies or areas for improvement. Resident Care and Services: Support the Nursing Home Administrator in ensuring that all resident care services are provided in accordance with established standards and regulations. Oversees facility Service Champion Program. Oversees facility census Address resident and family concerns, resolving issues promptly and effectively. Assist in overseeing resident admission, discharge and quality improvement initiatives, and resident satisfaction programs. Staff Supervision and Development: Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising staff, including administrative, and support personnel. Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and professional development among staff. Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback and support. Financial Management: Assist with budget preparation, financial reporting, and expense management. Monitor and manage facility expenditures, ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Support billing and collection processes to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions. Communication and Collaboration: Act as a liaison between residents, families, staff, and external agencies. Facilitate effective communication within the facility to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and engaged. Attend and participate in meetings, including care plan meetings, management meetings, and community events. Emergency Preparedness: Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans and procedures. Ensure staff are trained and prepared to handle emergency situations effectively. Job Requirements Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree and NHA License. Valid state nursing home administrator license or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in healthcare administration, preferably in a long-term care or nursing home setting.
