POSITION TITLE: Girls Soccer Head CoachRESPONSIBLE TO: PrincipalJOB SUMMARY:Girls Soccer Head Coach (Teaching Assignment TBD)Supplemental PositionQUALIFICATIONS:Must obtain fingerprint clearance from the Alabama State Department of Education prior to start datePrior coaching experience required, preferably at the high school levelIn-depth knowledge of coaching strategies, techniques, and rulesFamiliarity with Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) rules, policies, and requirementsStrong leadership, communication, and team-building skillsDemonstrated commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and disciplined team environmentCurrent CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Support and align with the mission and goals of Autauga County School DistrictDevelop and lead a comprehensive, competitive soccer program for high school student-athletesProvide instruction, mentorship, and coaching to enhance individual skills and team performancePromote sportsmanship, accountability, and team unity among playersSupervise and collaborate with assistant coaches to ensure consistent and effective coaching methodsMonitor student-athlete academic progress and overall well-beingCommunicate regularly with parents, school administrators, and other stakeholders regarding program updates and expectationsEnsure compliance with district, state, and AHSAA regulations and safety protocolsParticipate in professional development activities, including coaching clinics, workshops, and district training sessionsPerform additional duties as assigned by school and district leadership
