As a Financial Analyst on our Employee Benefits consulting team, you’ll be theperson who turns claims reports, renewal models, and carrier proposals into clear, actionableguidance for your teammates and for clients.Job ResponsibilitiesClaims & Experience AnalysisYou’ll keep a close eye on how our clients’ plans are performing — monitoring monthly claimsacross medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision, tracking utilization trends, and flagging costdrivers before they become surprises. You’ll turn that data into clear reports and dashboards forboth internal teams and clients.Financial Modeling & ForecastingYou’ll build and maintain underwriting and financial models to project renewal costs, exploreplan design alternatives, and support multi-year cost planning. The goal isn’t just accurateoutputs; it’s making sure those outputs are presented in a way that actually helps clients makedecisions.Market Analysis & Carrier QuotingYou’ll prepare RFPs and underwriting submissions, analyze carrier and stop-loss proposals, andbuild the side-by-side comparisons that guide client choices.Plan Strategy & Risk ReviewYou’ll contribute data-driven thinking to client strategy conversations by modeling plan designchanges, contribution strategies, and employee cost-sharing scenarios. You’ll help preparerenewal scenarios that walk clients through the range of outcomes so they can make confident,informed decisions.Reporting Innovation & Cross-Team CollaborationYou’ll be part of something exciting: partnering with our internal Data & Engineering Team asthey build software to automate our monthly and quarterly claims reporting. You’ll validateoutputs, flag anomalies, and provide the real-world feedback that shapes the final product.Team Collaboration & DevelopmentYou’ll work closely with Financial Consultants and Account Managers, contributing to theaccuracy and quality of client deliverables. You’ll participate in team knowledge sharing, look forways to improve processes, and grow into an even more valuable contributor over time.About YouPeople who thrive in this position:• Are genuinely interested in employee benefits — you find this industry meaningful andwant to keep learning.• Love working with data and get just as excited about communicating what it means.• Can translate complex financial concepts into language that resonates with non-financial audiences.• Hold your own work to a high standard; accuracy matters to you.• Enjoy collaborating and are a reliable, engaged teammate.• Thrive with multiple projects in motion and know how to prioritize.• Are curious, growth-oriented, and always looking for ways to add value.Education, Training, and Experience• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics, or a relatedfield.• Four to six years of experience in employee benefits financial analysis, consulting, or aclosely related role.• Prior experience at an employee benefits brokerage or consulting firm is required.• Demonstrated ability to build financial models and communicate results to non-technicalaudiences.• Solid knowledge of group insurance products: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability.• Working knowledge of benefits financial concepts: stop-loss, self-funding, claimsanalysis, and plan design modeling.• Strong project management skills and a track record of delivering accurate work ondeadline.• Familiarity with compliance requirements for employer-sponsored health plans: PPACA,COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, etc.• Exceptional Excel skills and comfort with the broader Microsoft Office suite.
