With over a decade of staffing excellence, we specialize in IT, healthcare, and professional roles, empowering both clients and candidates to grow together.Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with strong hands-on experience in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, High Availability/Disaster Recovery, and production troubleshooting.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, patch, upgrade, and migrate Microsoft SQL Server environments.Perform SQL Server administration across versions 2012/2014/2016 and later.Develop and optimize T-SQL, including Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, and Triggers.Manage backup and recovery processes, including Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR).Implement and support HADR solutions including Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Database Mirroring, and Failover Clustering.Perform database performance tuning using execution plans, index optimization, wait statistics, and blocking/deadlock analysis.Manage SQL Server security, including logins, users, roles, permissions, and auditing.Troubleshoot production database issues and perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA).Use SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and database monitoring tools for troubleshooting and performance analysis.Provide customer-facing technical support and communicate effectively during production incidents.Mandatory Skills3+ years of SQL Server DBA experience.Strong Microsoft SQL Server administration experience.SQL Server installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and migrations.Strong T-SQL and query optimization skills.Backup & Recovery / PITR.Always On, Log Shipping, Database Mirroring, Failover Clustering.Performance tuning, execution plans, indexing, blocking/deadlocks, and wait statistics.SQL Server security and permissions management.Production troubleshooting and RCA.SQL Profiler and Extended Events.Strong communication and customer support skills.Preferred SkillsAzure SQL DatabaseAzure SQL Managed InstanceGeo-ReplicationAzure SQL connectivity troubleshootingPowerShellSSIS / SSRS / SSASAzure Data Factory (ADF)Database Migration Service (DMS)Apply today or share profiles at hamanth@smartitframe.com
