With a strong emphasis on a family-focused and collaborative approach, we aim to foster long-term recovery and help young women build meaningful relationships through expressive therapies tailored to their unique needs.Job Summary:The Clinical Dietitian plays a crucial role in the multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing comprehensive care to individuals struggling with eating disorders. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing individualized nutrition interventions to support the physical and emotional well-being of patients within the program. The Dietitian will collaborate closely with therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to contribute to the holistic treatment of eating disorders.Key Responsibilities:Nutritional Assessment:Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients, considering their medical history, eating habits, weight history, and specific eating disorder behaviors.Calculate and interpret nutritional data, such as weight restoration, caloric needs, and nutrient requirements.Individualized Treatment Plans:Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans based on the specific needs and goals of each patient.Educate patients on the importance of nutrition and its role in their recovery.Meal Planning and Monitoring:Collaborate with patients to create meal plans that align with their treatment goals, taking into account any dietary restrictions or preferences.Provide guidance and support during meal times, helping patients to normalize their eating patterns and overcome food-related challenges.Nutritional Education and Counseling:Conduct individual and group nutrition therapy sessions to address the psychological aspects of eating disorders, including body image, fear of food, and distorted eating patterns.Teach patients and their families about nutrition, nutritional eating disorder recover, and mindful eating techniques.Interdisciplinary Collaboration:Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including therapists, physicians, nurses, and mental health professionals, to coordinate patient care and treatment planning.Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.Documentation and Progress Monitoring:Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient assessments, interventions, and progress.Regularly evaluate and adjust nutrition care plans to ensure they align with the changing needs of patients.Stay Informed and Educated:Keep up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field of eating disorders and nutrition therapy.Ethical and Regulatory Compliance:Adhere to ethical standards and regulatory guidelines governing the practice of dietetics and healthcare.Promote a safe and supportive treatment environment.Qualifications:Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential and state licensure.Specialized training or certification in eating disorder treatment is highly desirable.Previous experience working in an eating disorder treatment program or a mental health setting is preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathize and build rapport with patients.Knowledge of evidence-based nutrition therapy for eating disorders.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.Compassion, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to patient care.Proficient computer skills for documentation and data entry.We are a social justice oriented, fat-positive, Health At Every Size® -aligned, LGBTQ+ supportive, anti-racist, and all body affirming facility.
