It takes a team of talented associates to develop projects from concept to completion.Job DescriptionResponsible for activities related to design, space planning, and specifications of contract furniture, systems products, architectural walls, and other interior furnishings. Coordinates and implements detailed space plans to address Customer space requirements within allotted time and budget constraints. Collaborates with Account Manager and Customers to interpret and produce design and specification solutions. Ability to make fit and finish selections and recommendations for Customer’s workspace. Coordinate and manage the design process with the Account Manager and Customer. Interior Designer will be Client-facing with excellent presentation skills, including effective verbal and written communication skills.Primary ResponsibilitiesPre-Design and Programming: Interpret customers’ needs using consultative skills during interviews, on-site visits and/or meeting with clients. Assist the client in understanding the scope of services required, the complexity of services and deliverables required, and the budget and timeframe requiredIn conjunction with the Corporate Account Manager, will participate in the consultative sales experience for the customerConcept and Schematic Design Phase: Development of innovative design concepts that address the workflow, user needs, brand identity and mood of the workspaceDesign Development Phase: Space planning, furniture product solutions and application in AutoCAD and CETBids and Quoting: Develop furniture specifications in the form of CAP worksheet (BOM) and CETDesign Implementation Phase: Produce drawings, 2D/3D, prepare specificationsCheck vendor acknowledgements to review order entry accuracy after order is placedProduce install drawings and attend install meetingsRemains engaged throughout sales cycle, order placement and installation/punchBasic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Interior DesignProficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, CAP, CET and other technical design programs such as Adobe SuitesProficiency in Space Planning and Interior DesignExperience in working with Construction DrawingsEffective communication and collaboration skills to work with clients and team membersStrong visualization, attention to detail, and organizational skillsFamiliarity with commercial interior projects and industry standards is a plusBenefitsCompetitive base salary: ranges from $60,000 – $65,000 based on experienceMonthly commission based on company gross profit401k plan with Safe Harbor contribution of 3%Medical, dental, vision and supplemental coveragesMonthly & Annual company-wide bonus (based on sales goals)Paid vacation, sick days, and Federal holidaysFlexible Hybrid Schedule38-hour work week (Friday hours: 8-3 pm)
