DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer: On behalf of our Defense client, Procom is searching for a DevOps Engineer for a full-time role. This position is an onsite position at our client’s Colorado Springs office. DevOps Engineer - Job Description: The DevOps Engineer will support the C2BMC program and is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform. The role involves developing automated deployment scripts and collaborating with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines. DevOps Engineer - Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and manage a complex hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform • Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts using tools such as Ansible or Terraform • Collaborate with development teams to implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using technologies including Bash, Python, Ansible, and PowerShell • Test and validate automation solutions to ensure they meet requirements and are free from defects • Track the impact of events/actions on the underlying infrastructure being managed, such as patching and maintenance DevOps Engineer - Mandatory Skills: • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience • Active Top-Secret (TS) Clearance required to start • Active IAT Level II Certification • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, RedHat Openstack, or Nutanix • Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server system administration • Experience with a scripting language such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible • Experience working within a Scrum team in an Agile environment DevOps Engineer – Nice-to-Have Skills: • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab • Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes • Experience implementing configuration management methodologies using Ansible • Prior experience with a Nutanix Hyperconverged on-prem cloud platform • Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory DevOps Engineer – Assignment Length: This is a permanent position.
