Director of Recovery ServicesThe Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard is seeking a Director of Recovery Services to lead and oversee recovery behavioral health and substance use disorder programs within the Department of Behavioral Medicine.This leadership position supervises program directors and recovery program leadership while ensuring regulatory compliance, operational effectiveness, and high quality behavioral health services across multiple treatment programs.This role is ideal for experienced Clinical Supervisors, Program Managers, Behavioral Health Managers, or Program Directors who are ready to step into a director level leadership role overseeing recovery treatment and addiction services. The Director will collaborate closely with executive leadership, clinical teams, and regulatory agencies to strengthen program performance and support the delivery of safe, effective, and compliant behavioral health care.Important: All new hires must be able to attend a mandatory 5 day orientation Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM before starting their schedule. Attendance is required for employment.ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership and OversightProvide leadership and strategic oversight of recovery behavioral health and substance use disorder programsSupervise, support, and evaluate program directors and recovery leadership staffEstablish and maintain program missions, goals, and service objectives aligned with organizational prioritiesEnsure high quality service delivery across recovery treatment programsProgram Development and OperationsDevelop and implement operational policies and procedures consistent with local and state regulationsSupport program development, operational improvements, and service expansionCoordinate program activities across departments to improve service integrationMonitor program effectiveness and implement continuous quality improvement initiativesRegulatory Compliance and Quality AssuranceEnsure compliance with regulatory agencies and licensing standardsCoordinate regulatory surveys and program reviews as requiredMaintain compliance with documentation, reporting, and operational requirementsMonitor program performance data and outcomes for quality improvementStaff Leadership and Workforce DevelopmentDirect hiring, evaluation, and performance management of program directorsSupport training, orientation, and continuing education initiatives for recovery staffCollaborate with Human Resources to maintain job descriptions and staffing standardsFoster a collaborative and mission driven work culture within the divisionFinancial and Administrative OversightParticipate in program budget planning and financial monitoring in collaboration with department administrationCoordinate the collection of operational and client data for reporting and regulatory purposesMaintain regular communication with the Behavioral Medicine Chair regarding program needs, operations, and challengesOrganizational LeadershipParticipate in departmental and institutional committeesServe as a consultant to other behavioral health programs and departmentsRepresent the division in organizational initiatives and community engagement effortsPerform additional leadership responsibilities as assignedQualificationsEducationMaster's degree in behavioral health, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related human services field requiredExperienceMinimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in behavioral health servicesAt least 2 years of clinical, supervisory, or program leadership experience requiredExperience supervising clinical staff, counselors, or recovery treatment teams strongly preferredCertifications and LicensureCertification in Addiction Counseling (CAC) or similar credential highly preferredProfessional licensure highly preferred but not requiredPreferred ExperienceExperience working with recovery treatment programs or substance use disorder servicesExperience working with forensic or justice involved populations highly desirableKnowledge, Skills, and CompetenciesStrong leadership and program management skillsKnowledge of behavioral health treatment models and addiction recovery servicesUnderstanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in behavioral health programsAbility to supervise and mentor clinical leadership staffStrong communication, organizational, and strategic planning abilitiesAbility to evaluate program effectiveness and implement quality improvement initiativesWork EnvironmentThis is a fully onsite leadership role within a behavioral health recovery treatment environment. Work may involve walking through clinical and recovery patient care areas.
