Camp Leader

Position is open to males only for this program for boys. Description of Program: BOYS; Boys Own Your Strengths, is a new program for boys as a complement to our girls GLOW program. Its goal is to engage up to 40 boys, 11–17 years old, in structured programming encompassing the use of arts & crafts, games, lessons, community service, and guest speakers to foster an opportunity for boys and teens to develop and grow a positive sense of self. Description of the Company: The Way Station is a non-profit that reflects the love of Jesus by serving as a community resource for families and individuals in need; through job training and coaching, support groups, monthly food distribution, and emergency assistance. Job/Program Purpose: To enhance the self-esteem of enrolled BOYS participants as a method to prevent teen pregnancies. Duties & Responsibilities: ● Camp Leaders will work directly with the Camp Director to contribute their unique experience and expertise to lesson development. ● Leaders will lead and/or co-facilitate lessons alongside the director and fellow leaders. ● Leaders will participate in training and debriefing sessions. ● Leaders will act as positive role models and constant encouragers to campers. Job Type: Contract Pay: $14.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
