Contract-to-Hire | 2-Month Evaluation PeriodAbout ArcwayArcway is building the AI-native platform for bringing new homes to life in 3D.We turn homebuilders’ architectural plans, options, and design catalogs into interactive 3D homes that buyers can explore and configure online.We’re a small, fast-moving team looking for someone who likes owning messy problems, finding solutions, and getting things across the finish line.The RoleWe’re hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to own customer implementations from raw data to a live Arcway experience.You’ll work directly with our customers and technical team to make sure we have the right construction documents and design data, validate what we receive, translate customer requirements into technical scope, coordinate timelines, and keep projects moving.This is not a traditional product engineering role. You’ll use your technical skills and AI to solve customer problems, debug issues, transform data, automate workflows, and build internal tools that make implementations faster and easier.We’re looking for someone who doesn’t consider "I sent it to engineering" the end of their responsibility. If you like talking to customers, solving technical problems, and owning outcomes, we’d love to hear from you.What You’ll DoOwn customer implementations from kickoff through launchWork directly with customers to gather requirements, documents, and dataValidate construction documents, product catalogs, SKUs, and other customer inputsTranslate requirements and timelines between customers and our technical and 3D teamsWrite scripts and lightweight software to solve customer and internal problemsUse AI heavily to debug, automate workflows, transform data, and build toolsIdentify blockers and own getting them resolvedHelp with QA, project management, and implementation processesTurn recurring manual work into better tooling and automationWhat We’re Looking ForYou want to work directly with customers and communicate well with both technical and non-technical peopleYou’re technical, ideally with 2+ years of software development experienceExperience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Python, Ruby, SQL, APIs, or similar technologies. Our stack is primarily TypeScript, React, and Next.jsYou’re solutions-driven and comfortable figuring things out without perfect instructionsYou’re highly organized and can manage multiple customers, dependencies, and timelinesYou’re excited to use AI as a core part of how you workYou’re interested in architecture and homebuilding and willing to learn how to read CAD files, construction documents, elevations, roof plans, and other architectural dataEnterprise SaaS or customer-facing technical experience is a strong plusNew grads are welcome to apply. Our ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience, but we care more about technical ability, communication, curiosity, and ownership than years on a resume.Location and ScheduleThis is a minimum 40-hour-per-week role.You must be based in the United States and comfortable working across U.S. time zones from ET to PT.The role can be remote. In-person work is welcome but not required.Contract-to-HireThis role starts with a two-month contract period, after which we’ll make a decision about converting to full-time. This is non-negotiable.
