Leasing Agent/Property Manager
Responsibilities:
- Greet prospective tenants and provide them with information about available units
- Conduct tours of the property and highlight features and amenities
- Assist prospective tenants with the application process and ensure all required documents are submitted
- Conduct background and credit checks on potential tenants
- Prepare lease agreements and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately
- Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including conducting inspections and documenting any damages
- Address tenant inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, lease agreements, and rents
- Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor pricing to effectively market available units
-Prepare and maintain roster of tenants and owners
- Normal office duties, answer phone lines and direct calls, handle office supplies.
- Prepare and maintain court action cases with updated information
-Multitasker and team oriented
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a leasing agent or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of property leasing procedures and fair housing regulations
- Familiarity with legal administrative processes related to leasing agreements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with prospective tenants and current residents
- Proficiency in data entry and using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Ability to handle conflict management situations professionally and effectively
- Knowledge of relevant laws, such as LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage paperwork and documentation
-Must be able to prioritize multiple deadlines in an effient manner.
