As a Driver / Warehouse Specialist, you will be an integral part of our success and growth. In this role you are responsible for delivery, inventory control, order picking, steel kitting, receiving and more.This role will include delivery support, operating a company commercial vehicle that does not require a CDL. Delivery routes may occur approximately 2–3 days per week and depending on operational needs and customer demand will require delivering to facilities in Owatonna, Faribault, and Lacrosse WI.While delivery support is an important component of this role, the primary responsibility remains warehouse operations, and driving assignments may increase or decrease based on business needs. Key ResponsibilitiesPerform and participate in all responsibilities for inventory control specialist, order picker, steel kitter, and receivingPerform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings according to company policies and applicable DOT guidelines.Immediately report unsafe conditions, vehicle defects, accidents, or near-miss incidents to management and Human Resources.Operate company vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations, company safety policies, and all federal, state, and local traffic laws.Monitor vehicle condition during operation and report maintenance needs, including unusual noises, warning lights, tire concerns, or approaching mileage intervals for preventive maintenance.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and cargo area to ensure safe operation and professional appearance.Safely load, secure, transport, and unload cargo in accordance with company procedures and safe material-handling practices.Perform deliveries to customer locations in MN, WI, and other assigned service areas as required by operational needs.Verify shipment contents and delivery documentation prior to departure and confirm receipt at delivery locations when required.Maintain accurate delivery records, mileage logs, and required transportation documentation in accordance with company procedures.Maintain accurate daily driver records in accordance with applicable DOT requirements and company policy.Communicate delivery status, delays, route issues, or safety concerns to management in a timely manner.Maintain compliance with all applicable company safety programs and transportation safety requirements, including those associated with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.Education | ExperienceHigh school education or equivalent (required)Prior warehouse receiving experience (required), industrial setting (preferred)Ability to use strapping/banding equipmentERP experience (preferred)Forklift driving experience required (certification process provided)Abilities | SkillsMust possess a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle being operated.Must maintain a current and unexpired DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT physical) when operating vehicles requiring DOT medical qualification.Must authorize the company to obtain and review Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) for employment eligibility and ongoing driver qualification.Must maintain a driving record that meets company insurance and driver eligibility standards.Good math, computer (Microsoft Office) and communication skillsHigh motivation level, ability to multi-task and work well independently as well as with othersStrong attention to detail, organization, and time management skillsLifting up to 50-85 pounds occasionally (with assistance)Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours per dayAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishAbility to work overtime depending on workloadIn Return We Offer You Hourly pay range of $22.00-27.00 DOEA safe atmosphere that encases our core values of Integrity, Collaboration, Innovation, Candor, EarnestnessComprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, FSA, Dependent Care FSA, Life Insurance, Disability, ADD, 401(k), Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Floating Holidays, ESST.This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the position and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of skills, efforts, duties, responsibilities, or working conditions associated with the position.
