Senior Logistics Manager - DCGS

The Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS) is an intelligence enterprise system, comprised of 27 active duty, Air National Guard (ANG), and mission partner sites, interconnected by a robust communications infrastructure spanning the globe. The logistics manager shall be able to develop, or perform logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or other designated program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the duties listed below:Identifying requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the programAnalyzing requirements to ensure it matches program plans and schedulesCreating program and LCM plans to ensure logistics requirements are adequately defined and executedReviewing contractor deliverables to ensure compliance with logistics requirements and contractsProvide expert logistics input on Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Statement of Work (SOW), PWS and Contract Data Requirements Listing (CDRLs)Provide logistics analytical support for key logistics metrics (supply, reliability, maintainability, reliability, etc.) and provide them with key logistics reviewsRequirementsEducation, Requirements, and Qualifications:Minimum of an active Secret clearanceMaster's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in DoD acquisitionOr bachelor's degree in a related field and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in DoD acquisition. Or, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight (8) of which must be in DoD acquisitionKnowledge of the acquisition lifecycle and product support planning during each phase to include disposal phasePossess the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative project teamExtensive experience with defense acquisition management processes IAW the DoD 5000 series instructionsExtensive experience with DoD Logistics applications such as Reliability & Maintainability Information System (REMIS), BLADE, PIEE, DPAS, and other supply chain and logistics online management systemsKnowledge of the DoD's integrated product support element structureFamiliarity with the Product Support Business Case Analysis and Life Cycle Sustainment Plan processesFamiliarity with accomplishing a Logistics Health AssessmentKnowledge of the DoD Product Support Manager GuidebookKnowledge of agency program planning, funding, and management information systemsBroad knowledge of the organization and functions of activities involved in providing logistical supportAbility to coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and to develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions needed to meet each requirement on timeThe paramount qualification requirement is the ability to integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing a logistics management programAbility to lead a project team in completing complex projectsRequired Professional Qualifications:Experience with Defense Acquisition System processes as a Logistics Manager including UCA, MTA, MCA, SW Acquisition and Acquisition of ServicesAcquisition Qualification:Defense Acquisition University (DAU) credential program, CACQ 010 Foundational Acquisition Intelligence Credential; orDefense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP), any level, orA degree or certificate in LCM, Product LCM, or related field from any University or learning institute accredited by a U.S. Department of Education approved accrediting organizationBenefitsHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Short Term & Long Term DisabilityTraining & Development
