David Raines Community Health Centers is looking for passionate, qualified applicants to join our team!The PRN Dental Assistant assists the dentist in all dental procedures and follows all OSHA guidelines.Work Experience Requirements:Assists the dentist in all dental procedures.Completes Time Out/Intake (blood pressure, pulse, pain scale, chief complaint) on all patients.Breaks down and sets up operations.Properly sterilizes operatories and equipment between patients.Keeps the operatories well stocked with supplies. Stores and keeps track of all dental laboratory cases.Monitors the upkeep of dental equipment on a weekly basis.Wear proper protective equipment during procedures, include gloves, gown and mask.Reports any equipment repair that is needed to the supervisor.Prepares for and acts appropriately to medical emergencies in the dental office.Must be available to rotate on occasion, as may be necessary, to other DRCHC sites (Bossier, Gilliam, Haynesville, Minden, or Shreveport).High School Diploma or GED.Must have Xray certification per State Dental Board of Louisiana.Must have certificate of graduation from a dental assistant training program and/or minimum of 1 year experience as full-time dental assistant.Experience with electronic dental records preferred.We offer 11 paid holidays each year, paid time off and extended leave days, discounted services, and loan repayment eligibility options to name a few.
