Job Title: Travel RN Medical / Surgical Location: Alexandria, LA 71301 Duration: 13 weeks Shift/Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:00 PMJob Responsibilities:Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluationDeliver routine and complex patient care in a MedSurg unitAdminister medications and treatments while monitoring for effectiveness and side effectsDocument patient history, symptoms, medications, and care providedEducate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and care needsAddress psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patientsDelegate tasks and make appropriate clinical assignmentsFollow ANA Product and Standards of Practice and Client's competenciesRequirements:RN License in state of employment or compactBLS certification from AHA requiredMinimum 1 year of MedSurg nursing experience preferredBachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferredPreferences:Experience in a similar clinical settingAbility to work independently and manage complex patient care situations
