Portfolio Manager - Fixed Income

Position SummaryCerity Partners is seeking an experienced and analytical Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income to support the management and oversight of fixed income portfolios. In this role, you will be an integral part of the fixed income team through assisting the Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager in the management and trading of separately managed fixed income portfolios primarily using individual bonds (taxable and tax-exempt) and ETFs.Primary ResponsibilitiesSpecific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Daily update of portfolio data for accuracy around positions, cash, structures and distributionsMonitoring portfolio positions to identify potential risksDetermine bonds needed to maintain desired portfolio structuresWork with operations on proper trade execution and allocation.Monitoring fixed income offerings and helping identify valueConduct research and analysis of fixed income markets and securitiesMonitor external research to highlight risks and opportunitiesPrepare reports and presentationsEvaluating new and secondary bond issuancesHandling cash raise needsExecuting trades for bonds and fixed income ETFsOverseeing daily cash management with focus on money market funds.Assist with various other projects as neededFollow firm policies and procedures, including all compliance policies as outlined by the companyRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in investments, fixed income securities, and financial marketsBachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or related fieldFamiliar with Bloomberg and custodial platformsExperience with order entry platforms and trade reconciliationUnderstanding of economic, industry, company, and market fundamentalsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsGood time management, organizational and communications skillsStrong attention to detailAdvanced knowledge of excel and power pointCompensation$80,000 - $130,000Why Cerity PartnersOur people drive our success by working together to deliver exceptional service to our clients.
