We're all about getting results for our clients and demystifying the criminal legal process for our clients.Position Overview:We're searching for an Associate Attorney who's ready to roll up their sleeves and hit the ground running on day one. If you're a go-getter who can hold your own in the courtroom and loves the idea of helping folks navigate tough situations, you might just be our perfect match. If you’re looking for a 9-to-5 and punch the clock job, this position isn’t for you. We represent clients at the trial court level and the nature of a litigation practice is that sometimes you have to work until the work is done, which can include nights and weekends.Responsibilities:- Take on a mix of cases, from ordinance violations, criminal traffic and misdemeanors to more low level felonies, and give each one your all from start to finish through all stages of trial-level litigation.- Dig into legal research and craft top-notch documents like motions and briefs that pack a punch.- Represent clients in court proceedings, from initial appearance to trials.- Have a baseline level of knowledge to intelligently speak with clients about a potential case through phone consultations.- Build trust with clients, opposing counsel, and judges through clear communication and solid legal skills.- Get your hustle on by networking, drumming up new business, and spreading the word about our firm.- Collaborate with supervising attorney to map out strategies to achieve the best outcomes for our clients and provide occasional support as second-chair on more complex cases.- Stay in the loop on legal trends and developments, keeping your skills sharp and your knowledge fresh.Qualifications:- Juris Doctor - Wisconsin Bar admission. - Has an existing understanding of the basics of representing clients in court through either a completion of an internship in which you were able to represent clients on the record (prosecution or public defender), or at least one year as a practicing attorney in a direct representation role.- Ability to work independently and juggle multiple tasks like a pro.- Interested in playing a role in growing our firm and making a positive impact in our community.- Fluent in Spanish a definite plus.Benefits:- Starting salary of $75,000 with quarterly performance-based bonus opportunities.- Mileage reimbursement.- Opportunities for professional growth and development.- Eligibility for retirement plan after one-year of employment.- Paid Bar dues & continuing legal education.Join Our Team:If you're ready to take your legal career to the next level and be part of a team that's making a difference, we want to hear from you!
