T-shirt to Tote Project
This project was started to reduce the number of plastic bags found in or near the Red River. Volunteers turn donated T-shirts into reusable totes by cutting the sleeves and collar off, sewing or tying the bottom of T-shirts into a tote, and labeling the tote. Volunteers can choose to sign up to any number of the following tasks: Cut and tie T-shirts into totes Cut and sew T-shirts into totes (if you own a sewing machine) Label finished totes with River Keepers logo. Donate gently used T-shirts Distribute totes at local events Getting trained in for this project is easy!
