At BOBST we put customer service at the heart of everything we do, and we are looking for a new team member to join us to provide world class service for world class machines!The Process Specialist/ Field Service Technician (FST), Mechanical, for the corrugated board product line is responsible for efficiently setting up corrugated Masterfold and Expertfold lines to achieve high production rates and superior fold quality. This role includes conducting comprehensive operator training to enhance team performance and ensure operational excellence. Basic electrical knowledge is a plus, as it supports the overall functionality of the equipment.90% TRAVEL REQUIRED - Candidates must have flexibility to travel extensively throughout US and Canada. Ideal candidate located within 1 hour from a major international airport.The Process Specialist is at the core of an extensive support network of service personnel worldwide. They possess a strong background in the principles of mechanical and electrical engineering. They think logically and enjoy solving problems with creativity, diligence and above all else, focus on excellent customer service. Principle Responsibilities:Conduct thorough operator training sessions to ensure efficient machine operation.Install and set up corrugated Masterfold and Expertfold lines, adhering to production timelines.Perform performance tests to validate machine efficiency and product quality.Execute mechanical repairs and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.Provide maintenance training for operators to foster skill development and equipment care.Monitor production processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and output goals.Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.Maintain accurate documentation of training sessions, repairs, and performance metrics.Key Skills & Attributes:Minimum of 5 years of experience operating corrugated board/folding carton PCR equipment.Willingness to travel extensively for assignments and training.Availability for assignments on short notice, including weekends.Ability to accept and adapt to assignment changes quickly.Basic electrical knowledge is a plus, enhancing overall technical capabilities.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
