Electrical Engineer
Why This Role MattersAs the Facility Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing theintegration of facility electrical equipment for our nuclear fusion demonstrationsystem. You will work across several teams to develop the facility electricalequipment which enables us to achieve net facility gain. During construction youwill work with design consulting engineering and contractors to ensure a qualityinstallation which can be safely maintained. Following construction, you will beresponsible for the operation, maintenance, and future upgrades of the facilityelectrical equipment.This position is based in Albuquerque, NM and will require up to 50% travel toour San Leandro, CA facility during the design and permitting process.What You'll DoDevelop facility electrical equipment requirements and guidelines forbuilding systems including electrical infrastructure, building electricalsystems, backup power, and energy management systemsAssist in the design and development of building electrical systemsInterface with engineers, scientists, and technicians to obtain facilityelectrical inputsWork with the Infrastructure Design Team to ensure building electricalsystems are documented and designed appropriately for permittingdesign, construction, commissioning, and operationsDevelop electrical equipment commissioning, maintenance, andoperations plansOversee the operation, maintenance, and future upgrades of buildingelectrical systemsWhat You BringMinimum BS, Electrical EngineeringMinimum 7+ years of experience working in design, construction, facilityoperations, and commissioning for industrial, manufacturing, orresearch facilitiesExperience with medium and low voltage AC systems and high voltageDC systemsKnowledge of NEC and NFPA 70EHands on experience with industrial, manufacturing, or research facilitycommissioning and operationsStrong multidisciplinary program management skills and ability to workdiligently across cross functional teamsProactive, doer, with a self starter mindsetCooperative and positive attitude which influences your peers to be thebest versions of themselvesTrack record of reliability and ability to drive resultsBonus Points ForPE licenseExperience working in a startup environmentExperience working in industries such as: fusion, energy, aerospace, orchemicalExperience working closely with PhD scientists and R&D technologyorganizations#J-18808-Ljbffr
