Senior Advisory Consultant (Charlotte)

Role: Data & AI - Strategy & Advisory Senior ConsultantLocation: Charlotte, NC (3 Days onsite/ week)Job Type: FulltimeJob Description:Key Responsibilities1. Data Strategy & Transformation Advisory• Support the definition and execution of AI enabled data strategies aligned to client business objectives and industry context.• Translate business priorities into data and AI ready problem statements, ensuring alignment across data technology, governance, and operating models.• Contribute to the development of phased transformation roadmaps, balancing near term value realization with long term platform and capability maturity.• Partner with delivery and architecture teams to ensure strategic intent is effectively realized during implementation.2. Data Maturity Assessment & Current State Analysis• Lead and execute data maturity and capability assessments across key dimensions, including:o Data platforms and architectureo Data governance, quality, security, and metadatao Analytics and AI readinesso Operating model and organizational capabilities• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions to assess current state and identify gaps.• Synthesize assessment findings into clear, executive ready insights, highlighting risks, dependencies, and prioritized improvement areas.3. Data Governance & Foundation Enablement• Advise clients on establishing fit for purpose data governance models, especially in complex manufacturing environments.• Support definition of:o Data ownership and stewardship modelso Data quality and master data principleso Metadata, lineage, and access controls• Ensure governance recommendations are practical, scalable, and aligned to AI and analytics use cases and not just compliance oriented.4. Manufacturing & Domain Advisory• Bring strong manufacturing domain context to data and AI discussions (e.g., operations, supply chain, quality, asset performance).• Align data and AI initiatives to manufacturing value drivers such as productivity, yield, reliability, cost optimization, and resilience.• Understand and factor in IT OT integration challenges, legacy systems, and operational constraints into advisory recommendations.5. Client Engagement & Advisory Delivery• Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders (Director / VP level and above).• Facilitate discovery workshops, assessment sessions, and roadmap reviews.• Develop high quality client deliverables including:o Current state assessment reportso Data & AI strategy deckso Maturity matrices and gap analysiso Transformation roadmaps and recommendations• Partner with sales and delivery teams to support proposal shaping and solution articulation.6. Collaboration & Capability Building• Collaborate with platform architects, data engineers, and AI specialists to ensure advisory recommendations are grounded in delivery feasibility.• Contribute to Wipro Data and AI consulting assets, accelerators, and reusable assessment frameworks.• Mentor junior consultants and analysts within project teams, supporting capability development.Core Skills & Qualifications• 10 years of experience in data technology consulting, enterprise data programs, or analytics advisory roles.• Strong hands on experience in:o Data strategy definition and roadmap developmento Data maturity and capability assessmentso Data governance design and implementation• Demonstrated experience working with manufacturing clients or industrial enterprises.• Solid understanding of modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, cloud data lakes/warehouses) and how they enable AI/analytics.• Ability to bridge business objectives and technical execution.• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing executive level consulting deliverables.Preferred / Good to Have• Exposure to AI/ML or GenAI initiatives in the context of data platforms (even if not deep model development).• Familiarity with industry frameworks (e.g., DAMA, TOGAF, data maturity models) and ability to apply them pragmatically.• Experience supporting RFPs, proposals, or pre sales advisory engagements
