Who This Role Is ForThis role is for individuals who take pride in showing up early, being prepared, and executing at a high level in live event environments where timing, safety, and communication matter.If you are looking for something casual, inconsistent, or low-responsibility, this is not the right fit.Position OverviewYou will assist with the setup, operation, and teardown of pyrotechnics and special effects for live events including sports, theme parks, concerts, and private productions.This is a performance-based environment. Team members are expected to be dependable, responsive, and able to operate under pressure.Core ResponsibilitiesArrive on time or early for all scheduled calls (no exceptions)Assist with setup, wiring, testing, and breakdown of:Fireworks displaysCold sparksFog and haze systemsConfetti and streamer systemsCO2 and cryo effectsFollow all safety procedures and instructions exactlyMaintain clear and consistent communication with the team and show leadExecute tasks efficiently during tight production timelinesRepresent Imperial Pyro and Special Effects professionally on-siteNon-Negotiable RequirementsProven reliability and punctualityAbility to follow directions the first time without repeated correctionStrong communication skills, especially during time-sensitive situationsWillingness to work nights, weekends, and holidaysAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work long hours outdoorsValid driver’s license and dependable transportationPreferred ExperienceLive event production, fireworks, or stage effectsExperience with Cobra or similar firing systemsElectrical, rigging, or technical backgroundPyrotechnic license (or willingness to obtain one)CompensationHourly pay based on experience and performanceTravel, lodging, and per diem provided when applicableIncreased pay and opportunities based on consistency and performancePerformance ExpectationsZero tolerance for no-shows or last-minute cancellationsClear communication if issues arise, in advanceAbility to adapt when plans change on-siteWillingness to take feedback and improve quicklyGrowth PathReliable team members will be given priority for:Higher-paying rolesLead technician opportunitiesTravel shows and large-scale productionsLong-term placement within the companyApplication InstructionsTo be considered, include the following in your application:Your availability (days, nights, weekends)Your location and willingness to travelAny relevant experienceA short note on why you are a good fit for a fast-paced production environmentApplications missing this information will not be considered.
