Job Title: Accounts Payable SupervisorDepartment: AccountingStatus: Full Time / ExemptReports To: Accounting ManagerThe Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for leading the accounts payable team and overseeing the daily execution of the full‑cycle accounts payable process. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant processing of invoices and payments while maintaining strong internal controls, supporting financial close, and driving process improvements.Leadership:Lead, coach, and develop Accounts Payable team members across in‑office and remote settings, providing training on policies, systems, and best practices to ensure consistent performance.Assign and prioritize workload to ensure deadlines and service levels are metMonitor team performance and provide ongoing feedback, to include one-on-ones and check-ins with the teamServe as the primary escalation point for complex AP issues and vendor concernsPrepare and present updates on accounts payable team performance, workload, risks, and priorities during weekly accounting leadership meetingsPlan, lead, and facilitate regular AP team meetings to communicate expectations, review performance metrics, address issues, and reinforce policies and best practicesIdentify opportunities for efficiency, standardization, and automation within AP operationsAccounts Payable:Oversee full-cycle accounts payable process, from invoice receipt through paymentEnsure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments in accordance with payment termsReview and approve AP transactions, check runs, and ACH paymentsMaintain and improve internal controls related to accounts payableCoordinate duties for month-end and year-end closeMonitor AP aging and cash flow planning; collaborate with Treasury as neededManage vendor setup and maintenance, including W‑9 collection and compliance reviewCoordinate 1099 reporting and other regulatory reporting related to accounts payableMonitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirementsAdditional Responsibilities:Promote the company's brand promise and core values within the departmentParticipate in special projects and cross‑functional initiatives as assignedSupport internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required3-5 years accounts payable experience3+ years in a leadership roleWorking knowledge of full-cycle accounts payable processesProficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Achieves deadlines in a high-volume environmentStrong attention to detailEffective leadership and team developmentClear, confident communicatorEqual Employment Opportunity 5.2026
