We are seeking a dependable and motivated Certified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team.Job Summary:As a Certified Medication Aide at New Hope Manor, you will be responsible for accurately preparing, administering, and documenting medications as prescribed. You will work closely with our nursing staff to ensure the highest level of care for our residents. If you are a motivated and caring individual who is able to work effectively in a team environment, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:Accurately prepare, administer, and observe residents for reaction or side effects and document medications as prescribed.Take and record vital signsCount and sign medication administration record for controlled drugs.Observe all residents and report anything unusual or abnormal to Charge Nurse. Ability to safely care for residents in a patient and respectful manner despite some resident's lack of cooperation and/or combativeness.Perform Nurse Aide duties, as directed.Promote positive public relations with patients, residents, family members, and guests.Use tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations.Use appropriate workplace behavior and adhere to dress code at all times.Perform other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse.Observe for and immediately report to Charge Nurse or Shift Supervisor any noted reactions or side effects of medications.Requirements:Must have completed and passed a state-approved Medication Aide Course.Have an active Medication Aide Permit from TXHHS (Tulip Website).Be active on Nurse Aide RegistryAbility to understand, remember, and carry out oral and written instructions in English.Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents in English.Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.What We Offer:The opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive healthcare environmentCompetitive salary (to be discussed during the interview process)A chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residentsIf you are a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
