DescriptionLift Truck Maintenance Technicians diagnose and perform mechanical, electrical and hydraulic repairs on a variety of powered industrial equipment, including Publix's lift trucks which are also commonly known as forklifts. They use hand tools as well as computerized testing equipment in order to locate and repair problems. The Technicians read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. To perform preventive maintenance, they routinely check items such as hydraulic fluid levels, tire pressure, the condition of the forks, drive control, steering and the brakes. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check.
