Tax Preparer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Preparer. This role is responsible for preparing individual and business tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with current tax regulations, and providing excellent client service. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment during peak tax seasons.Job FunctionPrepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, partnerships/K-1s, trusts, and gift tax filingsCollect, organize, and analyze client financial information and supporting documentationEnsure accuracy and compliance with current tax laws, regulations, and filing requirementsAssist with tax planning strategies and year-round client advisory servicesResearch tax issues and prepare supporting documentation for complex tax mattersCommunicate directly with clients regarding tax questions, outstanding items, and filing updatesRespond to IRS and state tax notices and support audit inquiries as neededCollaborate with internal tax, accounting, and advisory teams to deliver comprehensive client solutionsMaintain organized electronic workpapers, tax files, and client recordsStay current on evolving tax legislation and industry developmentsManage multiple client engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentUtilize tax software and Microsoft Excel to prepare returns and perform tax analysisSupport senior tax professionals and partners on special projects and complex engagementsDeliver a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and client service throughout the engagement processJob Requirements5 years of experience - cpa a plus but not mandatory - Looking for clean backgrounds and not a tax season move year over year - they won't look at thatMid Sized firms are ideal - will consider smaller shops but need to be hands-on, willing to learn, attention to detail, focused, strong work ethic Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
