Private Equity Associate
Equality Asset Management (EAM), a Boston based Private Equity firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our Private Equity investment team. The Associate will play a critical role in all aspects of the investment process, with a focus on sourcing new investment opportunities, developing data-driven investment theses and supporting transaction execution. This is a full-time, in-person position based in EAM’s Boston office, Monday through Friday.Key ResponsibilitiesDeal Sourcing & EvaluationConduct in-depth industry, market, and company research across software and technology sectorsSource, evaluate and maintain a pipeline of investment opportunities aligned with the firm’s strategy and sector focusParticipate in introductory calls and ongoing discussions with founders and executivesAssist in developing investment theses and preparing investment committee materialsTransaction ExecutionSupport all phases of deal execution including due diligence, financial modeling, valuation analysis and deal structuringPrepare presentations and analyses for internal discussions, investment committee meetings and lender conversationsParticipate in management meetings, lender discussions and diligence sessionsQualificationsRequired2-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting, transaction advisory or a related financial roleExcellent written and verbal communication skills, analytical and financial modeling skillsHigh attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProficiency in Excel and PowerPointPersonal AttributesIntellectual curiosity, particularly around software businesses and emerging market trendsSelf-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to think critically about investment merits and risksTeam-oriented with a positive, professional attitude and collaborative mindset
