DescriptionInspire Academies is a public charter district comprised of community-based, residential, and partnership schools spread across seven Central and South Texas campuses and operated by the nonprofit BRAINATION, Inc, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. Inspire Academies' innovative learning methods address each campus's unique purpose, fulfilling its mission by inspiring every student to belong, find joy, and be great.The Academic Director will be based in San Antonio at the San Antonio Impact High School but will also oversee and provide support to a second campus in New Braunfels, Texas called New Braunfels Impact High School.San Antonio Impact High School is made possible through a partnership between Inspire Academies Public Charter District and the non-profit organization Rise Recovery. The collaboration of these two programs provides an innovative approach to high school education for students in recovery.New Braunfels Impact High School is a partnership between Inspire Academies Public Charter District and Innova Recovery. The facility provides specialized trauma treatment for adolescents aged 12 to 17 in an atmosphere that feels like home. A safe, serene, and nonjudgmental backdrop for teens to heal.Essential FunctionsProvides instructional leadership, maintains school-wide focus on high standards of student achievement, ensures effective instruction of curriculum standards, and manages processes for collecting and analyzing data to increase student achievement.Creates and maintains a collaborative culture, facilitates excellent academic and character development, and maintains a collaborative team culture.Establish regular, positive and constructive communication with facility management.Assists in developing and implementing the district's pedagogical practices.Shares the organization's mission with community members to build community relations and meet enrollment goals for the campus.Encourages goal-oriented achievement and supports the efforts of the district's performance objectives.Supports Inspire Academies by maintaining effective school and community relations, including working with parents, community groups, and leaders.Manages daily operations, including facilities, safety, compliance, and school improvement initiatives.Administers performance appraisal and development program of campus staff.Interviews and recommends candidates for hire as directed through the recruitment program.Ensures compliance with budget guidelines. Maintains fiscal control. Reports accurate fiscal information.Ensures school policies, state and federal regulations, and school law compliance.Anticipates the future needs of the school.Performs other duties as assigned.RequirementsMaster's Degree,Valid Texas Principal Certification,Five (5) years of full-time secondary teaching experienceExperience working with at risk students strongly desiredMust have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting check prior to starting employment.
