Mulesoft Engineer

We are seeking an API Technical Analyst to join our Enterprise API Management team supporting a high-profile financial services engagement. This role requires hands-on API analysis, quality assurance, and integration delivery using MuleSoft, Postman, and Azure DevOps. The ideal candidate thrives under competing priorities and delivers consistently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, design, develop, and maintain enterprise APIs on the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4, CloudHub).Perform contract-first API design (RAML/OAS), dependency mapping, versioning, and lifecycle management.Execute SQA activities: functional, regression, and integration testing of API endpoints and data flows.Build and maintain Postman test suites with automated collections, environment configs, and Newman CI/CD execution.Manage work items, stories, bugs, and sprints in Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines).Triage production incidents, resolve API performance issues, and support governance and security policies.Collaborate with BAs, architects, and product owners to translate requirements into scalable API solutions.Required QualificationsBachelor's in CS/IT or equivalent experience; 10+ years in API development and enterprise integration.3+ years hands-on MuleSoft experience; 2+ years with Azure DevOps or equivalent CI/CD tooling.Experience in federal financial services or similarly regulated environments.Preferred: MuleSoft Certified Developer/Architect, SAFe/Agile background, compliance frameworks such as FFIEC, PCI-DSS.MuleSoft Anypoint Platform — API design, development, deployment, and API Manager.Postman — advanced collections, scripting, mock servers, Newman CLI integration.Compensation$60 per hourThis is the targeted compensation range for this role.
