E&C Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION Responsible for the design, modeling, development and testing of a machine, structure or system. Develops functional requirements. Understands and applies standard engineering principles. Creates simulations and prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs and test how a machine, structure or system operates. Designs and tests components, and integrates components to produce final product. Monitors quality of products and controls the efficiency of processes. Evaluates a design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Investigates root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements. Skills and Qualifications Ability to multi-task and juggle several tasks without sacrificing quality Takes initiative Teamwork Interpersonal/communication skills Experience with cradle to crave (project management) experience Prior experience working in a manufacturing/plant environment like a power plant Has taken the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam or would like to (preferred, not required) Previous experience managing contractors Experience with project management and project plan development, charters, managing budgets Good with managing money Requires a bachelor's in engineering, no specific discipline, as long as it's related to work performed at the plant (mechanical/electrical/civil) Willing to consider other engineering fields as well Non-technical Skills Ability to multi-task and juggle several tasks without sacrificing quality Takes initiative Teamwork Strong interpersonal/communication skills Ideal Candidate Background 2+ years of experience. Requires a bachelor's in engineering, no specific discipline, if it's related to work performed at the plant (mechanical/electrical/civil).
