Salad Designer

The salad designer position is responsible for maintaining customer service, generating sales, preparing food, general housekeeping, and maintaining a clean work area in adherence to all company policies and standards of behavior.Key ResponsibilitiesAdhere to opening and closing proceduresPrepare food items according to the Par sheetEnsure all items are labeled correctlySet up work area completely before opening for lunch (chopping station, expo station, hot station, signage & displays etc.)Prepare dressings according to the recipes providedBake cookies and breadEnsure each guest receives outstanding customer service in a warm and friendly environmentAssist with POS as neededResponsible for generating sales and cross selling all products and services within The Bodacious Family of ShopsAdhere to dress code, standards of behavior, and all company policies, procedures and practicesMaintain a clean work area throughout entire shiftPrepare for the next dayDetects and ensures disposal of spoiled or unattractive foodCompletes production sheets and other records as requiredReceive inventory by checking invoices to ensure all items are accounted forStock inventory in accordance with health code (i.e. no raw meats above raw vegetables)Break down and clean work area at the end of shift (stove top cleaned, sheet pans cleared and cleaned, dishes, sweep & mop floor, cover food, ensure food is put away properly, etc.)Make sure ovens are turned offMay work special events and assist in all other departments; as needed with approval of supervisor(s)Communicate customer requests to managementPerforms all other duties as requested or directedRequirementsMaintain professional attitude and appearance at all timesWell-organized and detail-oriented with all guest servicesRequired to stand, walk, and lift items (up to 25 lbs.) on a regular basisAbility to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when neededExcellent communication skillsAbility to work as part of a teamAbility to build relationships with customersEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED and one to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The key physical requirements of this position includes the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, lift up to 25 pounds, and the use of standard kitchen equipment.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a regular, part-time, non-exempt position.
