This is a high-impact, field-based role covering the Northern U.S., including key regions such as Colorado, California, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, parts of the Northwest U.S., Alaska, and Canada. The role is based in Minneapolis, MN, and requires the candidate to work in the office when not traveling. This position offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the territory, drive business growth, and manage key client relationships across a diverse range of industries. The role will focus on managing and growing client accounts, driving new business development, and overseeing an independent sales rep organization to enhance sales performance. This position is perfect for a driven, results-oriented sales professional with a technical background in fluid processing, pumps, valves, compressors, hydraulics, and pneumatics, who thrives in a leadership role, motivating teams and building long-term partnerships.Package:Base Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 (depending on experience) Bonus: Performance-based annual bonus Benefits: Health, dental, life insurance, 401(k) with employer match, and PTO Travel: 40% travel (Domestic travel required for the role) Regional Sales Manager / Territory Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager RoleManage the Northern U.S., covering key territories such as Colorado, California, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, parts of the Northwest U.S., Alaska, and Canada. Identify and develop new business opportunities while expanding relationships with existing clients. Lead and support independent sales rep organizations, setting targets, driving performance, and ensuring accountability. Develop strategies to increase mindshare from reps and manage their sales activities. Execute your own sales activities, with a mix of direct customer interactions and account management. Drive sales across a diverse range of industries, including fluid processing, pumps, valves, compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, food and beverage, automotive, water treatment, and pharmaceuticals, leveraging automation solutions and technical products. Work closely with internal teams (engineering, marketing, customer service) to ensure smooth project delivery, from technical quoting to client satisfaction. Track performance, manage a pipeline, and provide recommendations for continual improvement. Regional Sales Manager / Territory Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager RequirementsProven experience in a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, Area Sales Manager, or similar business development role. Strong track record in sales leadership, particularly managing independent sales reps. Experience in engaging and motivating external reps is essential, particularly in the fluid power, fluid processing, and pumps sectors. Technical background in fluid processing, pumps, valves, compressors, hydraulics, and pneumatics solutions. Experience selling into diverse industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, food and beverage, automotive, water treatment, pharmaceuticals, and MRO. Ability to thrive in a field-based role, with a combination of direct sales and sales leadership in fluid processing, pumps, valves, compressors, hydraulics, and pneumatics markets. Comfortable engaging with clients, engineers, and decision-makers in various settings. This role is based in Minneapolis, MN, with required office work when not traveling.
