Mercyhealth System Freeport Illinois is currently seeking board certified/board eligible Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our excellent team of collaborating Physicians throughout the Rockford Illinois Region! Opportunity Collaborative Team: The Physician will collaborate with 3 Orthopedic Surgeons and a team of advanced practice professionals in an established practice that has room to grow. Support Staff: Orthopedic Surgical Nurse Navigators compliment the team in an effort to maximize patient readiness for surgery and achieve quality post-surgical outcomes. Teamwork: The Ambulatory Care Unit nursing team and Physical Rehabilitation Team work collaboratively with the surgeon to promote same day discharges after total joint surgery when appropriate. Facilities: The practice is located within the FHN Family Healthcare Center - Burchard Hills, a multi-specialty clinic just one mile from the network's 100-bed hospital. Schedule: 4 days/week of direct patient care with call responsibility. Call Coverage: Call is required at 1:3. Vast multi-subspecialty referral sources onsite New Graduates Welcome!
