No C2C or W2 candidates from 3rd Party VendorsJob DescriptionWe are seeking a Technical Lead – Cloud Data Engineering to support a high-impact federal analytics program. This role is focused on leading data engineering efforts across both cloud and legacy environments, with a strong emphasis on Azure-based data platforms and enterprise data warehousing (EDW).This is a hands-on technical leadership role (not people management heavy) where you will guide data engineering efforts, optimize performance, and support data-driven reporting and analytics initiatives.The ideal candidate has deep experience with SQL, data modeling, ETL performance tuning, and Azure cloud services, and is comfortable working across both on-prem EDW and cloud environments simultaneously.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical LeadershipLead data engineering efforts across Azure cloud and legacy EDW environmentsWork directly with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutionsGuide technical direction for data pipelines, performance optimization, and reportingDesign, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelinesPerform ETL performance testing, identifying bottlenecks and improving throughputTroubleshoot data issues and trace root causes across systemsSupport development of data models and schemas (e.g., star schema, dimensional models)Work with structured and unstructured data across enterprise systemsAssist with data migration between on-prem EDW and cloud platformsWork within Azure ecosystem including:Support hybrid environments (cloud + on-prem)Reporting & AnalyticsSupport downstream reporting tools such as Power BIEnsure data accuracy, availability, and performance for reporting use casesRequired Qualifications9+ years of experience in data engineering / data warehousing5+ years working with enterprise data warehousing (EDW) environmentsStrong expertise in:ETL/ELT pipelines and performance tuningHands-on experience with Azure cloud servicesExperience working across both cloud and on-prem environmentsExperience supporting reporting tools (Power BI or similar)Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearancePreferred QualificationsExperience with AWS (secondary to Azure)Experience working in federal or regulated environmentsExperience with data pipeline optimization and performance testing toolsExposure to AI/ML or advanced analytics environmentsJ-18808-Ljbffr
