Purchasing Agent
Job TitlePrepares, reviews and tracks capital expenditure, MRO, and service-related purchase orders through the procurement process.
Major ResponsibilitiesFor assigned procurements, work with suppliers, contractors, production staff, engineering, and facilities management to execute order management activities including quotation solicitation, supplier/contractor negotiations, order issuance, proactive confirmation of anticipated deliveries, expediting needed parts, and resolving past due deliveries.
Ensure proper supplier risk mitigation techniques are applied to minimize the company's liability in the event of contractor accidents, scope creep, and failure to fulfill the ordered scope of work.
Select qualified vendors and evaluate their performance.
Act as a liaison between contractors and internal customers to coordinate the timely execution of contracted services.
In coordination with internal customers, prepare scope of work statements for contracted services.
Provide material cost and delivery estimates for MRO material as requested.
Assist internal customers by responding to their purchase order delivery status inquiries, unplanned material requirements, and expedite requests.
Support the Purchasing Manager in special projects, procurement of inventory parts, and by working with department managers on upcoming purchasing needs.
Prepare for and attend facility management staff meetings.
Resolve receiving and invoicing related discrepancies for assigned procurements.
Additional duties as assigned.
Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.

Experience4 - 7 years of procurement experience with strong background in MRO procurements and contracting for services. Experience with an ERP systems is a strong plus.
Education/TrainingDegree: Bachelor's degree Major: Business, Project Management, Logistics, or a technical discipline
