Hiring for Benton, AR and Bryant, AR Senior Centers. CareLink Mission: To connect older people and their families with resources to meet the opportunities and challenges of aging. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED; or Six to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Current and valid Arkansas driver's license Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute, rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to regularly stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Ability to lift and/or move up to 25lbs and occasionally up to 50lbs Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Lead Cook and other staff in preparing and serving meals in accordance with required menus, number of persons to be served, recipes, portion guides, and food sanitation regulations. Wash and sterilize serving trays, dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils. Clean sinks, equipment, appliances, and cooking and serving areas. Prepare meals for home delivery Serve meals Assist with compliance to standards and procedures of food storage, preparation, and service; equipment and overall sanitation; and employee safety. Tastes, smells, and observes food to ensure conformance with recipes and appearance standards. Prepare and oversee meal production Oversee food rotation (FIFO) and maintenance of storage room Wash and hang dish towels and aprons. Wrap silverware. Use appropriate kitchen appliances and equipment (slicer, mixer, etc.) Receive and store food and supplies according to procedures Label and date all food containers before storing. Keep storage areas clean and in order. (dry and cold spaces) Check refrigerator and freezer temperatures daily. Prepare for next day's meals. Assist with recordkeeping and reports Perform job duties in an ethical manner Maintain confidentiality. Keep up to date and knowledgeable about applicable policies, procedures and regulations of specific programs, as assigned.
