JobID: 1389 Position Type: Administrator - Non-Certified/Supervisor Date Posted: 10/17/2024 Location: Lafayette Building **The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is only accepting INTERNAL applications from current MCIU employees.** A vacancy exists for a Program Supervisor - Montgomery Virtual Program with the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit in the Office of Professional Learning. The Program Supervisor - Montgomery Virtual Program oversees student online learning programming within the Office of Professional Learning, including providing leadership and expertise in the areas of online learning and related programming which will improve learning outcomes for all MVP students. The Program Supervisor - Montgomery Virtual Program will directly supervise staff within OPL as it pertains to the operation of Montgomery Virtual Program. Qualifications: Degree required, technology and/or education-related certification(s) preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in online education required. Experience with adult and student instruction (face-to-face and online) preferred. Experience in marketing and advertising preferred. Expertise (includes one or more of the following): Knowledge of Student Information Systems, Scheduling, Student Data Project Implementation and Management Team Coaching Knowledge of budgeting or programs or initiatives Customer and Stakeholder relations Experience working effectively and cooperatively with administration, parents, and professional and non-professional staff within the educational community. Ability to supervise and work effectively and cooperatively with administrative, professional, and non-professional staff. Proficiency in the use of technology for individual communication and research. Employs good oral and written communication skills; demonstrates good organizational skills. Possesses effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interface diplomatically with other teachers, administrators, parents, students, support staff, and outside professional contacts. Qualities of leadership and good communication skills. Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI. Duties & Responsibilities: Direct daily operations of assigned online learning offerings for quality and effectiveness. Monitor program needs, manage workflows, and refine processes involving digital communication and information. Oversee all facets of customer service related to assigned programs. Coordinate consortium purchases of educational technology, including renewals and contract negotiation/re-negotiation as appropriate Manage assigned budgets to ensure program expenses are appropriate and do not exceed funding. Supervise MVP Recess and student event coordination. Provide training and support to school districts, non-public schools, IU personnel, and parents relative to all MVP programming. Supervise, and evaluate non-professional employees within the assigned program(s) based on MCIU policies and procedures, state initiatives, and best practices. Represent the MCIU in local, state, and national organizations as assigned by the Director. Communicate regularly and collaborate with OPL staff and supervisors, school district administration and staff, non-public school administration and staff, MCIU personnel, and other agencies. Work cooperatively with administration, parents, professionals, paraprofessionals, and support personnel in school districts, agencies, and MCIU programs. Create and follow standard formats related to communication and data collection. Maintain and upgrade professional skills and knowledge through professional growth and development. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Director of Professional Learning. Location: MCIU's Main Building (2 W.
