Document Control Technician - Project Controls
PND Engineers, Inc., is seeking an energetic, organized, and motivated document control technician responsible for tracking complex project deliverables. Work is generally of time-critical and confidential nature, requiring the candidate to be responsive and able to track and respond to status requests in a timely fashion. Part-time, approx. 20 hours weekly. Candidates able to offer additional skills, such as project scheduling, health and safety coordination, computer-aided drafting and design, could be considered for a full-time (40 hours) role. Weekdays Monday - Friday, hours somewhat flexible between 8 AM and 5 PM ADT. Hybrid or remote work possible.
Job Duties:
Develop and maintain material requisitions and associated documents.
Submit, track, maintain, and distribute documents and deliverables, such as RFI’s, DCVRs, submittals, etc.
Ensure team members complete development and review actions in timely manner.
Communicate timeline expectations to all team members.
Compile and track review comment from multiple team members.
Ensure conformance to Client document control policies and procedures.
Ensure conformance to Company quality control procedures.
Track and record vendor submittals for the client.
Communicate upcoming deadlines to vendors and possible delays to the client.
Requirements:
Two or more years of experience performing document controls (preferably in a construction or engineering environment).
In-depth recordkeeping experience and expertise managing a comprehensive filing system within a Windows network environment.
Strong, sustainable attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated self-starter able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills to interact effectively with team members, vendors, and clients.
Proven track record of reliably meeting productivity goals and deadlines.
High level of multitasking, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work occasional overtime as needed. Experience in architectural, engineering, or construction industry is preferred.
Proficiency in the following programs: Microsoft Office Suite (including intermediate Word and Excel) Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam.
Preferred experience using FusionLive or other document control software, and Primavera P6/Microsoft Project.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States of America without need for employer sponsorship.
