Mechatronics Test Engineer, Hardware Verification and Validation
Mechatronics Test EngineerThe Mechatronics Test Engineer is responsible for the creation and execution of test programs, plans, and methods for subsystem verification tests and complete system verification and validation tests to support new technology and product development programs. This includes the design and operation of test benches, instrumentation selection, data processing, and reporting. You will be accountable for turning raw measurement data into clear engineering insights that drive design decisions. Key job responsibilities include:Identify proper test plans and equipment needed based on program development stagesDesign, commission, and operate test benches for robotic systems including actuators, batteries, sensors, camerasPerform complete system verification and validation testing to ensure successful development of new technologies and products in robotics and automationProcess and analyze test data to determine performance metricsCreate test reports that compare results against specifications, to feed back into design cycleSupport new technology and product development programsCollaborate with engineers across various disciplinesBasic qualifications include:Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test proceduresExperience developing test strategies and plans for complex hardware/software systems or systems of systemsExperience in test development within a high ambiguity environmentPreferred qualifications include:Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalentExperience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to productionExperience with the project management of technical projectsExperience in selecting, sourcing, and setup of lab equipment from third partiesAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
