Position Type:Athletics/Activities/CoachingDate Posted:4/8/2026Location:High School/Middle SchoolDate Available:11/09/2026Closing Date:open until filledPOSITION: Wax Technician for Scott West Nordic Skiing.SUMMARY: The wax tech will be responsible for all aspects of ski preparation, including glide and kick waxing, base cleaning, saturation, structure application, and race-day finishing. Experience with fluoro-free waxing protocols, inventory management, and on-snow testing is preferred, however we are willing to train the ideal candidate. The position requires the ability to analyze snow quality, as well as the confidence to make quick, informed decisions as conditions evolve. This role oversees team equipment logistics, including ski fleet management, waxing room coordination, gear maintenance, and race-day preparation. The ideal candidate is organized, precise, and comfortable working long hours in variable winter environments while maintaining clear communication with athletes and coaches. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where consistency, and race-day calm directly contribute to team performance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments. We are looking for someone who is available twice a week during the school day. One day of the week to prep skis for waxing and one day a week on our race days for wax finishing and other team support duties assigned.SALARY: $1,000 - $2,000REPORTS TO: Activities Director and Head CoachQUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma/GEDPrior coaching experience preferred
