Job Summary
Redbird Bioscience is seeking a highly analytical, organized, and execution-oriented Business Performance Manager to report directly to the Executive Director and work in close partnership with the Chief of Staff / General Manager in monitoring performance across Manufacturing, Sales, and Distribution.
This role serves as a central business-performance and reporting function for the company. The Business Performance Manager will monitor KPI attainment, schedule execution, departmental output, commercial performance, and financial pacing across key functions, while ensuring executive leadership has a clear daily understanding of what is on plan, what is off plan, why variances are occurring, and what corrective action is required.
This position is designed for a candidate who is comfortable operating at a high level of visibility and accountability, and who can convert raw activity and reporting into decision-ready business intelligence for executive leadership.
This structure aligns with Redbird’s broader operating model, which emphasizes cross-functional KPI management, executive reporting, revenue tracking, and disciplined performance monitoring across sales and operations.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Executive Reporting
Produce a daily business-performance summary for the Executive Director
Provide visibility into performance across Manufacturing, Sales, and Distribution
Report prior-day, week-to-date, and month-to-date actuals versus plan
Highlight urgent operating risks, missed commitments, and required interventions
Daily Department Head Follow-Up
Contact department heads on a daily basis to obtain current KPI performance for each department
Collect updates on whether planned objectives, schedules, and targets are on track
When desired targets are not achieved or objectives are at risk, document department head’s corrective actions and timeline to course correct and relay to Executive Director for review & approval.
Document ownership, timing, and status of corrective actions
Escalate unresolved misses, vague action plans, or repeated underperformance to executive leadership
KPI Ownership and Scorecard Management
Work with Production/Sales/Marketing teams to develop, maintain, and audit KPI scorecards
Standardize performance definitions so teams report consistently
Monitor KPI attainment and surface underperformance early
Ensure reporting cadence is accurate, timely, and actionable
Plan-vs-Actual and Schedule Monitoring
Track production schedules, fulfillment readiness, shipment execution, and sales pacing
Monitor departmental attainment of daily and weekly commitments
Flag slippage, bottlenecks, and cross-functional dependencies affecting execution
Sales and Commercial Performance Monitoring
Monitor core commercial metrics through LeafLink and Canix
Track:
gross and net revenue
revenue by rep, territory, account, category, and SKU
average order value
active buying accounts
new accounts opened
prospect-to-trial and trial-to-repeat conversion
direct-to-broker sales mix
These sales-tracking expectations are directly consistent with Redbird’s current sales reorganization framework and KPI structure.
Operational and Financial Variance Analysis
Analyze actuals against budget, forecast, and operating plan
Identify and quantify:
margin erosion
labor inefficiency
inventory exposure
service failures
cost overruns
revenue pacing issues
Translate variance into clear business impact for executive review
Cross-Functional Coordination
Help align Manufacturing, Sales, and Distribution around company priorities
Surface interdepartmental bottlenecks and execution gaps
Track whether executve decisions are carried through to completion
Accountability and Action Tracking
Maintain a live issue and action tracker including:
missed KPIs
schedule misses
reporting failures
unresolved business risks
owners, deadlines, status, and closure
Ensure follow-through on corrective actions across departments
Data Integrity and Systems Stewardship
Reconcile and validate information across:
LeafLink
Canix
spreadsheets
internal departmental logs
scorecards and dashboards
Ensure executive reporting is credible, consistent, and decision-ready
Executive Review Support
Prepare materials for:
daily executive updates
weekly business reviews
month-to-date performance summaries
board or investor operating snapshots when needed
Other duties may be required as the role develops and performance needs are adjusted.

Required
5+ years of experience in business operations, analytics, finance, sales operations, manufacturing support, supply chain, or business performance management
Experience supporting executive leadership or senior operators
Strong experience with KPI scorecards, dashboards, plan-vs-actual reporting, and variance analysis
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage reporting across multiple departments simultaneously
Strong organizational discipline and follow-through
Ability to convert raw data into executive-level insights and action items
Experience working with and integrating A.I. tools/software into professional workflows

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
