Accounting Manager

Soni is working with a well-established, family-owned distribution company is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to join its team in Edison, NJ. This role will initially focus on owning the Accounts Receivable function while gradually expanding into full accounting leadership, including month-end close, financial reporting, and process improvement, as part of a planned succession transition. Responsibilities:Own and manage the Accounts Receivable functionOversee high-volume transactional activitySupervise and support the AP teamPartner with ownership and external accountants on month-end activitiesMaintain organized, accurate financial recordsIdentify opportunities to improve processes and modernize workflowsSupport general office operations and administrative leadership Requirements:5+ years of accounting experienceStrong Accounts Receivable experienceExperience supervising a small teamHigh proficiency in Excel and other accounting systems Ability to close out the month and support the month end close process Detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsComfortable working onsite in a hands-on environment Preferred Skills:Experience in distribution, warehouse, or high-volume environmentsExperience working with external accountants or CFOsQuickBooks or similar accounting software experienceInterest in long-term growth within a stable, family-owned company Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000 Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
