Linux System Engineer

Position: Linux System Administrator Work Location: Linux System AdministratorHire Type: 6-month contract (+ extensions and possible FTE)Qualifications:   *        Must have 7+ years of professional experience in Systems Administration of Linux servers and workstations.              Must understand networking protocols and be able to diagnose network related problems (data center, servers, switches, cabling)*            Demonstrated experience in multiple OS's including Red Hat experience (version 7 or 8) and Ubuntu (version 18 or 20)*            Must have in-depth knowledge supporting and administering servers and workstations in a large, multi-site, enterprise-wide environment Global experience highly desirable*   *        Virtualization experience              Must possess scripting abilities (Python) along with process automation*              Must work well in a cross-functional / matrixed team environment and possess strong written and verbal communication skills*Plusses:   *        Demonstrate time management and prioritization skills to accommodate business requirements and managing scheduled activities.     *        Possess basic NetApp’s/storage experience in a Linux/engineering environment   *        MSP experience
