Server

Grit is seeking experienced contractor servers to work with Grit and work at various restaurants in our network. As a contractor server with Grit, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests, taking orders, and ensuring that all orders are prepared and delivered accurately and timely. You will also need to have experience working in various restaurant environments and be able to adapt to different settings. Additionally, this contract position offers flexibility as you will be connected with various businesses for on-demand shifts. Responsibilities: Greet and seat guests, providing menus and answering questions about the menu items Take food and drink orders from guests, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure that orders are prepared and delivered in a timely manner Upsell menu items and specials to guests as appropriate Provide excellent customer service throughout the dining experience, addressing any concerns or issues that arise Handle cash and credit card transactions, following all cash handling and credit card processing procedures Maintain a clean and organized dining area, following all sanitation and food safety guidelines Work with the team to maintain inventory levels and restock items as needed Requirements: Proven experience as a server in a restaurant or quick-service restaurant (QSR) setting Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to upsell and make menu recommendations to guests Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation techniques Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and order delivery Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Job Type: Contract Salary: $12.00 - $25.00 per hour Work Location: In person
