Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Reports To: Registered Nurse (RN) / Facility Physician Location: [Insert Facility Name/Location] Position Summary Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Physician, or other licensed healthcare provider, the LPN will perform essential nursing care tasks and procedures in accordance with Article 139 of the Education Law. The successful candidate will execute individual treatment plans, administer medications, and monitor patient health status to ensure the highest quality of care and alleviation of suffering. Key Responsibilities Clinical Care: Perform nursing tasks and procedures consistent with established individual treatment plans and facility protocols. Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications to maintain health, prevent/cure illness, and alleviate pain, utilizing practical knowledge of health processes. Patient Monitoring: Obtain and record vital signs—including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse—using standard medical instruments. Assessment Support: Assist RNs and Physicians in identifying individual patient needs; observe and report responses to medications or significant changes in health status. Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical charts and records regarding treatments administered and the patient's physical/mental condition.
