Position OverviewDo you enjoy working outdoors and interacting with adults and children alike? Montgomery County Parks, Enterprise Division, invites dynamic, energetic, and fun seasonal/intermittent applicants to fill exciting positions at South Germantown Recreation Park. These include the South Germantown Splash Park & Mini Golf Facility (open Memorial Day–Labor Day) and the South Germantown Driving Range (open year-round). Supervises staff involved in customer safety on the splash deck, miniature golf course, and jumping pillow; handles cash operations, monitors equipment safety procedures, adjusts pool chemicals and records readings, and oversees custodial maintenance. Works independently and prepares cash reports and bank deposits. Notifies the Facility Manager of facility needs and orders supplies, and manages party rental reservations for the three party tents and group reservations.QualificationsMinimum 1 year of pool operating experience.Valid Montgomery County Pool Operator's License required.Weekend work is required.Cash handling experience preferred.Minimum age 18.South Germantown Splash Park & Mini Golf Attendant ($15.45/hr)Responsible for collecting admission fees and serving as the facility's first point-of-contact for customer questions and/or concerns. Attendant must be comfortable performing basic computer functions (e.g., data entry) and possess a pleasant demeanor. Performs routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning various areas and removing trash, and assists management staff in ensuring a safe environment and crowd control on the splash deck, jumping pillow, and miniature golf course.QualificationsCash handling experience preferred.Weekend work is required.Minimum age 16.Driving Range Attendant ($15.63-13/hr)Registers participants for programs and camps, collects registration fees, answers customer questions, and serves as the facility's first point-of-contact. Responsible for selling merchandise, range cards, and buckets of balls, performing basic computer functions, and maintaining knowledge of facility programs, fees, and policies. Performs routine tasks including operating a golf ball picker, cleaning and maintaining facility and equipment, and assisting with set-up and take-down of archery equipment.QualificationsCash handling experience preferred.Weekend and evening work is required.Minimum age 18.Supplemental InformationPositions are seasonal (part-time) and do not include benefits. Pay rates are based on experience and qualifications. Applicants ages 16-17 require a work permit. All selected candidates must display excellent customer service skills, attain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications (training classes available), attend in-house orientation, and pass a complete background investigation.
