Assistant Controller - Manufacturing:Controller/Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment - is required!Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance - is required!Minimum of 3-5 years in an accounting position - is required!*** Commercial construction accounting experience, a plus!**Location: Springfield, MOJob Type: Full-TimeRemote: No. On-site in Springfield, MOSalary: Commensurate with experience: $75K to $95K, plus benefitsBenefits: Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 401K and PTORelocation: Not offeredMust Have/Required: Bachelor's degree, or higher, in accounting or finance - this is a must havePOSITION SUMMARY:Under the direction of the Controller, the Assistant Controller is responsible for all general ledger accounting functions, budgeting and forecasting, oversight of capital expenditures and risk management.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for ensuring cash, invoicing, budget vs actual, and payroll reporting is completed as requiredManage the budgeting and forecasting processesProvide oversight of capital expendituresProvide oversight, completion and reporting of cash collections, including credit authorizationResponsible for cash flow reportingResponsible for oversight and completion of month end reportingResponsible for financial reportingResponsible for oversight of A/R and A/P processingPerform year-end preparation and processing for annual financial audit and R&D tax creditResponsible for weekly/monthly/annual reporting and information processing for management reportsProvide oversight and maintenance of internal controlsResponsible for risk managementAttend and actively participate in meetings as requiredMARGINAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist with other various accounting and office functions as required including direct reports oversightSUPERVISORY RESPONSBILITIES:Not applicableEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree in accounting or financeMinimum of 3-5 years' experience in manufacturing or construction accountingExperience with cost accounting, financial reporting, depreciation schedules, and internal controlsManufacturing knowledge and experience requiredCPA or CMA, a plusRisk management experienceQUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Strong knowledge of accounting processesStrong leadership, communication and teamwork skillsStrong planning and organizational skillsHigh level of integrityCritical thinking skillsSelf-directed, independent and goal-orientedAbility to proficiently handle multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent problem-solving skillsBENEFITS:Full-time employees regularly scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits.
